UV-VIS HPLC flow cells overview
The ECOM Company produces several kinds of flow cells for liquid chromatography. Cell availability in the detector may be resolved by type of casing mainly, see next.
HPLC Cells are suited for analytical applications. Restriction of bubble formations in the cell is provided by a hydrodynamic resistor supplied with the cell. Restrictions of flow rate and temperature changes are provided by conical shape and heat exchanger on the cell input. Internal diameter of inlet capillary is 0.25 mm.
PLCC Cells are suited for preparative and flash applications. Cells design makes possible to change the length of the optical path according to the particular conditions of the analysis.
MLCC Cells have very small internal volume and are suited for microcolumn chromatography. These cells have high pressure resistivity.
ZK Cells don't have windows and are used for validation (test) of detector operation, lamp age and working flow cell purity. These cells are parts of detectors accessories.

* basic optical path length which can be stepwise prolonged up to 1.1 mm or 2.4 mm and this cause extension of internal volume to 55 ul resp. 70 ul

External cells
These cells are connected to the detector by optical cables with SMA connectors. Each detector which contains Ex in name could be used with these cells.
